We strive to meet and exceed the highest Montessori standards set forth by the American Montessori Society (AMS), through organized and individualized instruction, multi-age classrooms, and carefully prepared learning environments.

Diversity

Individuals are celebrated and appreciated for their unique qualities, perspectives, and backgrounds.

Joyful Learning

Curiosity and joy for learning are habits cultivated by A Children’s Habitat.

Peace Education

Kindness, empathy, and peaceful conflict resolution comprise and inform both our explicit and implicit curriculum.

Community

Inspired by a spirit of community and the power of collective talents, we focus efforts on building relationships and working with one another.

Stewardship

Just as we care for one another, we care for our broader social and natural worlds.

Lower Elementary (1st–3rd Grade) also incorporated animal studies of “Ella,” a polar bear 🐻‍❄️ tracked by @myfahlo bracelets into this Polar Biome lesson!Scientists have known Ella since she was about two months old, just preparing to venture onto the sea ice for the first time alongside her mother and sibling. Over the past few months, ACH students have followed her journey as an adult, witnessing her survival and the raising of five cubs, each guided to navigate and thrive in their sea ice home.#montessori #polarbiome #elementaryschool
